In 2013, the communications team at Pennsylvania Academy of Family Physicians (PAFP) designed and built a private online community of practice dedicated to it’s members across the state, called the PAFP Community. We created a BuddyPress driven member site that allows family physicians across the state connect with each other in more meaningful ways, while providing the tools that will allow them to share information and resources that impacts their profession. The PAFP Community won an international communications award, Gold MarCom Award, in 2013.
The session will be an overview of design thinking and it’s application for the enterprise level projects, shown in how we developed a community of practice for family physicians.
