Amy Hendrix

Amy Hendrix is a Web Engineer at 10up. In her years of web work, she has worked with a wide variety of languages and technologies, ranging from HTML/CSS and JavaScript to PHP, Ruby and Python. She first encountered WordPress in 2008, and has been working with it more or less exclusively since 2011. In that time, she’s done custom theme and plugin development for neighborhood nonprofits, large publishers, and everything in between.

Amy has been a core contributor to every WordPress release since 3.3, most recently focusing on accessibility improvements for the Twenty Thirteen and Twenty Fourteen themes. She is currently a rep for the WordPress Community team, and has also contributed in other areas including theme review, accessibility, and support.

When she’s not immersed in all things WordPress, Amy is a competitive fencer and an instructor for Girl Develop It. She lives in Durham, NC.
