Charlie serves as the Technology Director for Penn Manor School District in Lancaster County Pennsylvania. A member of the senior leadership team, he directs educational technology programs to empower students for life-long learning. Charlie is a passionate advocate for open source values in education. Under his leadership, Penn Manor implemented a nationally recognized one-to-one Linux laptop program and high school student help desk. His first book, The Open Schoolhouse, chronicles more than 15 years of open source learning programs at Penn Manor School District. He is also a contributor to the opensource.com community.
