Shari Medini

Shari Medini is the co-owner of both the parenting website Adore Them and the business podcast Push Pull Sales and Marketing. Shari quit her job to stay home with her first son back in 2010 and was able to successfully navigate the freelance world while building skills and establishing connections. Her experience includes working as a marketing strategist and writer on multi-million dollar capital campaigns, website redesigns, advertising campaigns, and book launches. Shari’s parenting articles have been published in dozens of print and online publications; and she enjoys doing speaking engagements at various local, regional, and national conferences. When she’s not on her laptop, Shari can be found spending quality time with her husband and two sons exploring their hometown of Lancaster County, PA.

Russell Heimlich

Russell Heimlich has been wrangling the interwebz since the dawn of the century. By day he is a Senior Interactive Developer at nclud, a provocative creative agency. By night he is a small human co-wrangler of two daughters with the help from his partner in crime, Kristina. True to his name, he is capable of life-saving choking maneuvers for the greater human good. Milkshakes make him smile.

Andy Stitt

Andy has been specializing in digital transformations for nonprofits for the past decade with a focus on web. He currently works for the Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia as their WordPress website manager and email marketing manager.

Daru Sharp

Daru Sharp has been working with data her entire career. Trained as a research scientist, the planning for, collecting, and analyzing data were key activities. A career transition redirected to desktop application development; building information management systems for small and medium sized businesses. More recently, Daru discovered WordPress as a tool for creating web based data driven information management solutions.

Tara Claeys

Based in Arlington, Virginia, Tara Claeys is the owner of Design TLC, producing custom websites for small and medium businesses and specializing in branding and websites for kid’s camps and schools. She works closely with her clients to create effective, clean and personal communication platforms.

In addition to running her own companies, she is an organizer of the WordPress DC Meetup. Tara is also a co-host of the podcast Hallway Chats. On top of that, she prides herself in being a digital efficiency expert and loves to find time saving and stress reducing apps and digital tools!

Outside of work, Tara is a runner, a cyclist, and a musical theater enthusiast.

Austin Ginder

Austin Ginder is a Lancaster local as frequently seen working in coworking spaces and coffee shops. He’s a husband, father of six kids and runs Anchor Hosting, a hassle-free WordPress hosting service for web professionals. He helps agencies and freelancers keep their customers WordPress sites running smooth.

Joe Casabona

Joe Casabona is a college-accredited course developer and professor.
He also has his Master’s Degree in Software Engineering, is a Front End Developer, and hosts multiple podcasts.
Joe started freelancing in 2002, and has been a teacher at the college level for over 10 years. His passion in both areas has driven him to build Creator Courses, a school for those who want to create online businesses.
As a big proponent of learning by doing, he loves creating focused, task-driven courses to help students build something. When he’s not teaching, he’s interviewing people for his podcast, How I Built It.

Ashley Eberly

I’m a web designer and front-end developer at Infantree with 8 years of experience, including roles at JPL and Hershey Entertainment & Resorts. I’ve been working with WordPress for almost 2 years, with my primary skillsets in design, HTML, and CSS. While I spend most of my time designing practical user interfaces, I jump at the chance to create engaging, conceptual microsites that immerse people in a unique experience. Lastly, I have a goldendoodle that slightly (definitely) resembles Falcor.

Aaron D. Campbell

Aaron is an international speaker, open source advocate, and outgoing introvert. He’s been a regular contributor to WordPress for more than a decade, and is currently employed by GoDaddy to focus full time on the WordPress open source project. He’s been called both a coffee snob and a beer snob, but considers both to be compliments. When not buried in code, he enjoys spending time with his wife and son, riding his motorcycle, and reading sci-fi/fantasy books. Seth Alling

Seth Alling is a Detroit-based developer turned designer turned developer, who has been working with WordPress since 2009 and currently works as a Senior Software Engineer for Mediavine. When he’s not developing (or designing), you can find him playing soccer, running, or spending time with his wife and kids.

Sal Ferrarello

Open Source veteran, Sal Ferrarello, has a list of accomplishments to rival any of the who’s who in WordPress including contributing repeatedly to WordPress Core, Genesis, and authoring the Bootstrap Genesis Theme. If you have time, check out his GitHub account at github.com/salcode.

Along with his volunteer work in the WordPress Community, Sal has spoken on a wide variety of topics including Gutenberg, introducing people to post meta, and avoiding the pitfalls of DNS, as well as encouraging developers to blog.

When Sal isn’t wowing you with his magic or calculus skills, he can be found writing custom code for a variety of clients. He also enjoys spending time with his family.

Susan Walker

Susan Walker is a web developer who has built a number of plugins, themes and maintenance scripts as part of her work managing university WP multisite installations. Over the course of her eight years of working with WordPress, she has tested hundreds of plugins in the WP repository to find the best fits for web visitors and content providers.

Susan is a co-organizer of the Philly WordPress Meetup and a past co-organizer of WordCamp Philly. In her free time she is a supporter of the Philadelphia area arts community and occasionally performs with groups such as Shakespeare in Clark Park and Team Sunshine Performance Co.

Jason Coleman

Jason is co-author of Building Web Apps with WordPress and Lead Developer of Paid Memberships Pro, the 100% open source membership plugin for WordPress. He has been pushing WordPress to its limits for many years and is an advocate for using WordPress as an application framework to build web sites and apps that go above and beyond the typical blog of CMS site. Jason works out of his home in Reading, Pennsylvania where he lives with his business partner and wife Kimberly Coleman and their two children.

Aaron Jorbin

Aaron is a polyhistoric man of the web who knows rabble-rousers get shit done. Currently, Aaron is the Director of Editorial Technology for Penske Media Corporation, where he supports the editorial and business teams on over 20 brands including Rolling Stone, Variety, and Footwear News. He is also a WordPress Core Committer that focuses on improving developer happiness and making the internet usable and enjoyable by everyone. He tweets at @aaronjorbin and writes regularly at daily.jorb.in.

Beth Soderberg

Beth Soderberg is an independent developer and digital communications strategist based out of Alexandria, Virginia. She focuses on building thoughtfully architected websites that enable her clients to optimize their online presence while being empowered in managing their content. She is obsessive about clean code, solid design execution, and implementation of cutting-edge front end technologies. In her spare time Beth is a co-organizer of WordCamp DC and the WordPress DC Meetup, has contributed to the WordPress Training Team, and was a founding organizer of the annual DCFemTech Hack for Good in Washington, DC.
